The Maine Pines scored a tight, 7-6 win versus the Hollywood Stars at Oakhurst Field. Maine pitcher Matt Graham held his own in the contest. The Pines saw their win-loss record go to 29-19. At the same time, the Stars fell to 21-27.

In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 6-6, five-time All-Star Steve McKinstry won it for Maine. With a runner on 2nd, McKinstry hit a 2-1 fastball from Pat Eisen for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 7-6 win.

"This place went bonkers at the end," McKinstry said.
