The Mexico City Aztecs picked up a win at Gran Estadio Azteca, topping the Halifax Heathens, 5-4. On the mound for Mexico City was right-hander Chris Booth. He played a principal role in the triumph. Mexico City reliever Jeff Cox picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jose Ojeda took the loss. The loss drops Halifax to 2-3.

John Hunt was the walk-off hero for Mexico City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Aztecs third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I'm happy we won," said Booth. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
