Frew Helps Pines Defeat Stars, 6-3
Good production from center fielder Jimmy Frew helped the Maine Pines topple the Hollywood Stars, 6-3. Frew went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Pines. Ryan Henry, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held the Stars to 2 runs on 4 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 4. Matt Williams recorded the save, his 2nd.

Frew contributed a big hit, a 2-run triple, for Maine in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Frew took a changeup from Victor Trevino and stroked the triple to right. His 1st triple of the season allowed the Pines to leap in front, 3-2.

"I felt good up there," said Frew. "I saw the ball well."

The defeat makes Hollywood 26-21.
