Stars Lose to Eagles, 2-1
|
The Hollywood Stars and Indianapolis Eagles provided some drama for the home crowd.
The Indianapolis Eagles got a stellar performance from pitcher John Hennig, who handcuffed the Hollywood offense en route to a win, 2-1, at Eagles Stadium. James Gibson picked up the save, his 5th.
The Eagles got a big hit from shortstop Mike Dallis. In the bottom of the sixth, Dallis smacked a 2-run home run off Hollywood pitcher Matthew Rowlands. It was his 3rd home run of the season. Suddenly, the Eagles were ahead, 2-1.
Hennig attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
The win for the Eagles lifted their record to 28-16.
