23ers Rally Late to Nip Nightmare
The Fountain Hills 23ers racked up a win at Fountain Park, bumping off the New York Nightmare, 5-4. Albert Fabian, who started for Fountain Hills, pitched effectively for his team. Fountain Hills reliever Jaheim Johnson got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Adam Coleman was tagged with the loss. With the win, the 23ers have a record of 63-66.

Jim Gavilanes was the walk-off hero for Fountain Hills. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the 23ers second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Gavilanes said.
