The Detroit Giants beat the Fountain Hills 23ers, 13-0, at Ballpark of Detroit. Ramon Dozal, who finished 4th in the AC in wins above replacement with 7.3 in 2015, starred for Detroit. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Quito Herrera was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed no runs on 3 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts.
