Compton Shines in 6-1 Halifax Win
|
The Halifax Heathens downed the Hollywood Stars, 6-1. The hitting star was third baseman Austin Compton. Compton belted 3 home runs, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 5 for the Heathens. Halifax has now won 5 games in a row.
Juan Ortega, the two-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Ortega contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Halifax up, 2-1.
