23ers Snatch Late-Game, 3-2 Win
|
Fountain Hills and New York duked it out and the 23ers came out victorious.
In a tight tilt between the Fountain Hills 23ers and the New York Nightmare, Miguel Leon was the deciding factor. The Fountain Hills right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Scott Lewis snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-8 on the season. Justin Gravely suffered the loss.
The decisive blow was delivered by David McGowan in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 31-year old right-handed pitcher Justin Gravely to win the game for Fountain Hills. The home crowd went nuts.
"Miguel is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Fountain Hills manager Efren Nieman.
The Nightmare, now 53-75, have lost 4 in a row.
