Starting pitcher Dennis Cambridge was a major factor in the 2-0 Tampa Bay Captains triumph over the Chicago Gangsters. Jason Washington got credit for the save for Tampa Bay. It was his 32nd of the year. The Captains go to 56-72, putting them second in the American Conference Central Division.

Tampa Bay starter Dennis Cambridge was exceptional. The 6-foot-4 left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 8 innings of work.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Cambridge after the game.
