The New York Nightmare topped the Carolina Reapers, 5-4, in American Conference action at Nightmare Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of New York pitcher Felix Marquez. Marquez got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 2 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. New York has now won 3 in a row.
Rob Black, who is tied for 9th in the AC in home runs with 24, came through for New York with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. The designated hitter went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 3 RBI.
