Dragons Get Past Syracuse, 3-2
The Dallas Dragons took Syracuse pitcher Ivan Medina's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark. The final score had Dallas getting past the Scorpions, 3-2. Medina went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 3. Dallas reliever Eduardo Vargas was the winner. His record is now 5-1. The losing pitcher was Dave Holzman. Mike Braasch picked up the save for Dallas, his 28th of the year.

Shortstop Jay Pearson made an impact for Dallas, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Ivan Medina in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Pearson went 1-3 with a triple and a walk.

Pearson called the win "a collective effort."
