The Hollywood Stars and Maine Pines obliged fans looking for a good time.
The Hollywood Stars stopped the Maine Pines, 6-5, at Hollywood Grounds. The Stars got a big game from Tom Klenke, who was 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Victor Trevino, who finished 4th in the NC in innings pitched with 228.2 in 2020, was the winner in relief. His record is now 4-9. The losing pitcher was Dan Miller.
Hollywood got a game-changing hit from Brian Byrd. The third baseman blasted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a winner.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Klenke said.
