Marauders Score Late to Nip Sea Turtles, 2-1

The Philadelphia Marauders used a stellar performance from pitcher Corey Gruver to throttle the Daytona Beach offense en route to an extra-inning, 2-1 win at Marauders Ballpark. Vince Mellon picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Brian Hennick suffered the loss. The Marauders are now 72-54, while the Sea Turtles fall to 55-71.
Philadelphia got a clutch hit from Eric Langley. The catcher socked a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was game-ender.
"Corey made the big pitches when he needed to," said Philadelphia manager Danny Ordaz.
