In a well-pitched game between the Vancouver Caribou and the Toronto Trash Pandas, pitcher Tom Thompson was superb. The Vancouver right-hander helped his team win, 1-0. Jeff Cox earned the save for Vancouver, his 29th of the year. By defeating Toronto, the second-place Caribou improved to 65-61.

It was an impressive turn from the legendarily hard-working Thompson, who tallied 5 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing just 3 hits. Thompson goes to 4-6 on the year with 131 strikeouts.

"I was able to really locate my pitches tonight," said Thompson.
