The Maine Pines beat the Mexico City Aztecs, 8-3, at Oakhurst Field. The Pines got a fine performance from second baseman David Duthie, who went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. The Aztecs had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Pines going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old right fielder Justin McCoy came to the plate. McCoy hit a grand slam home run on a first pitch sinker from Mexico City hurler Jaden Mack. It was McCoy's 8th home run of the year.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said McCoy. "And not try to do too much."
