Maine Pines starter Ryan Flamino found his groove in his team's 6-1 win over the San Francisco Fire. The Pines saw their win-loss record go to 89-37. At the same time, the Fire fell to 54-72.

Julio Negron had a big 2-run double for the Pines in the bottom of the second inning. With Maine leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Pat Daughtry and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pines ahead, 3-0.

"Ryan giving us the start that he did was huge," said Maine manager David Whigham.
