Figueroa Delivers Walk-Off Win for Gladiators
Clemente Julio added some punch to the Phoenix offense, helping them outmuscle the Chicago Gangsters, 10-7. In the game, Julio, who is tied for 3rd in the AC in runs scored with 84, was 5-5 with a triple, a double, and 3 singles, while scoring 3. The winner in relief was Manny Brant. He is now 3-6. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. The Gladiators go to 72-53, putting them second in the American Conference South Division.

Phoenix got a clutch hit from Ben Figueroa. The catcher launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
