Desperados Win with Late Rally
The Austin Desperados banked on Jason Emary and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Tampa Bay hitters in check. The final score was 2-1, Desperados, in 11 innings. The win went to Bob Baucke in relief. His record improves to 8-4. Ted Tygart took the loss. Bill Reno collected save number 4.

Austin used a clutch hit from Leo Serna to get the win. The right fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Desperados ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Serna attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."

The Desperados now have a record of 60-65.
