In a low-scoring contest between the San Diego Fleet and the Indianapolis Eagles, Rodolfo Soto was the X factor. The San Diego right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Soto picked up the win for San Diego, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 12-10. Justin Pierce sewed up the save, his 36th.

San Diego used a clutch at-bat from Corey Young to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Fleet ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Soto said.

The Fleet improved their record to 71-54 by beating Indianapolis.
