Whistlers Get Hard-Earned Win
Whislters Park played host to some real drama.

The Boston Whistlers weathered an outstanding game by Phoenix left fielder Brian Shultz to topple the Gladiators, 10-9. Shultz was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Boston leads the American Conference Central Division by 25 games.

Jeff Beeson was the walk-off hero for Boston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Whistlers second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was rockin'," Beeson said.
