The Toronto Trash Pandas knocked off the Mexico City Aztecs, 6-2, at Gran Estadio Azteca. D.J. Van Diest was a big reason Toronto won. The left fielder went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The winning pitcher was Josh Monroe. His record now stands at 11-5. The right-hander went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 9 hits for the Trash Pandas. By defeating Mexico City, the second-place Trash Pandas improved to 70-52.
