Trash Pandas Pull Out Late-Game Win, 7-6
With first baseman Phil Tibbits leading the charge, the Toronto Trash Pandas defeated the Vancouver Caribou, 7-6, at Mounties Field. Tibbits, who is tied for 10th in the NC in bases on balls with 51, was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Toronto reliever Allen Anderson picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Manuel Londono absorbed the loss. The Trash Pandas improved their record to 61-61 with the win over Vancouver.

Tibbits had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Trash Pandas went on to win.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Tibbits.
