Dallas Dealt 4-3 Defeat
|
The Syracuse Scorpions locked up a win at Scorpion Stadium, knocking off the Dallas Dragons, 4-3. On the mound for Syracuse was right-hander Ivan Medina. He played a major role in the triumph. Medina, now 6-8, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. The loss makes Dallas 51-70.
Syracuse third baseman Bobby Tapia contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a changeup to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 73rd hit of the season and put the Scorpions ahead, 4-1.
"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Dallas manager Edgar Puente.
