Aztecs Get One-Run Win at Cincinnati
|
The Castle was the site of a competitive game between the Cincinnati Royals and Mexico City Aztecs.
Mexico City Aztecs starter Jaden Mack pitched his team past the Cincinnati Royals, 2-1. Mack yielded 1 run over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 14-7.
Mexico City used a clutch at-bat from Danny Velasquez to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Aztecs ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We did just enough to win," Mack said.
With the win, Mexico City pushed its record to 68-53.
