Reedy River Stadium was the site for American Conference action featuring the Carolina Reapers and Detroit Giants.

The Detroit Giants downed the Carolina Reapers, 5-2, at Reedy River Stadium. Angelo Mejia led the way, going 4-for-4 for Detroit. Lee Maher earned save number 20 this season.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Mejia delivered big-time for Detroit, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off B.J. Rudolph. The game-changing hit put the Giants on top, 3-2.

Detroit manager Blake Barber called it "a good, solid win."

Detroit now sports a record of 47-74.
