The Maine Pines defeated the Vancouver Mounties, 4-1. Designated Hitter Paul McComas deserved a large share of the credit. McComas went 3-4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Pines. Maine pitcher Ryan Flamino earned the win, hiking his record to 14-4. Antonio Enriquez suffered the loss. Maine, at 77-44, is 5½ games up in the National Conference North East Division.

With Maine leading 2-1 in the top of the ninth, McComas hit a curveball from Miles Hurlbut for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Pines ahead, 4-1.

"I still think this team can play even better," McComas told the Maine Citizen.
