Chicago took on Halifax in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Adrian Huffine, in particular, was fantastic. The Chicago right-hander helped his team snag the win, 2-0. Keith Kramer was called on to finish, recording his 20th save. The second-place Gangsters go to 43-77.

Huffine was in the zone all game. He frustrated Halifax hitters while giving the Gangsters 7.1 innings of quality work. Huffine threw 96 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 5 punchouts.

Afterward, Gangsters manager Antonio Valdez was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
