Royals Earn Late Win
The Cincinnati Royals racked up a win at Hollywood Grounds, bumping off the Hollywood Stars, 5-4, in 10 innings. Juan Fernandez, who started for Cincinnati, pitched effectively for his team. Cincinnati reliever Jayson Wagner picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jason Hollenbeck absorbed the loss. Roberto Salazar closed it out for his 29th save.

Cincinnati used a timely hit from Jorge Guzman to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Royals ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Fernandez.
