Reedy River Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Detroit Giants and Carolina Reapers.

Kevin Farris was locked in. The right-hander led the Carolina Reapers to a 4-2 win against the Detroit Giants at Reedy River Stadium. Carolina pitcher Mike Heustess earned the win, hiking his record to 5-0. Devin Wickliffe suffered the loss. Jake Schmitt picked up the save for Carolina, his 3rd of the year.

Carolina took the lead, 4-2, on Bobby Phillips's 19th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Detroit pitcher Devin Wickliffe in the bottom of the seventh.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Detroit manager Blake Barber. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."

The Reapers sport a record of 48-71.
