Fans watched the Dallas Dragons and the Tampa Bay Captains fight to the finish.

The Dallas Dragons withstood an impressive performance by Tampa Bay designated hitter Hunter Schalow to defeat the Captains, 8-7, at Ahoy Park. Schalow slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The last-place Dragons own a record of 39-80.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Alec Pavelka? The Dallas second baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dragons on top, 8-7. For the game, Pavelka had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Pavelka told the Dallas News. "But we take nothing for granted."
