Dallas Roughed Up By Whistlers
|
Boston designated hitter Willie Kirkham contributed significantly to his team's 8-2 win over the Dallas Dragons. Kirkham went 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Whistlers. The victory gives Boston a record of 70-48.
With Boston leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Kirkham hit a sinker from Ben O'Halloran for a 2-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Whistlers ahead, 3-0.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Kirkham.
