Toronto Dealt 3-2 Defeat
|
The Hollywood Stars tallied a win at Hollywood Grounds, throttling the Toronto Trash Pandas, 3-2. Starting pitcher Fred Taylor was a big reason for his team's success. Taylor, now 2-1, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 11, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Hollywood has now won 3 straight, while the Trash Pandas have lost 3 in a row.
Hollywood catcher Jamal Martin contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 95th hit of the season and put the Stars ahead, 3-1.
