Royals Stop Fire, 4-1
|
Getting an impressive start from Josh Huggins, Cincinnati beat San Francisco by the score of 4-1. Colin Lambert, now 5-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. The third-place Royals have won 4 consecutive games.
Brian Brewer cracked a home run off Edwin Rincones in the bottom of the sixth. His 3-run blast put the Royals on top, 4-1. In all, Brewer had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said San Francisco manager Zach Freeman.
