The Carolina Reapers thumped the Fountain Hills 23ers, 10-1, at Reedy River Stadium. Mike Green was a big reason his team got the win. Green went 4-5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The losses continue to pile up for Fountain Hills, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.

The Reapers got an important contribution from third baseman Jose Lazaro, who in the bottom of the second hit a first pitch fastball to right for a 2-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Reapers ahead, 5-1.

"It was our day today," Lazaro told the Carolina Observer. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
