Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Mexico City Aztecs and Indianapolis Eagles.

Taylor Motyl, who finished 4th in the AC in wins with 13 last year, imposed his will on the Eagles from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the right-hander spearheaded the 5-1 Mexico City triumph. Motyl, the winner, moves to 3-0. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 3 walks. Jeff Cox sewed up the save, his 28th.

Hunter Long had a big 2-run home run for the Aztecs in the bottom of the third inning. With Mexico City leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from J.R. Mitchell and swatted a home run to right. It was his 15th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aztecs ahead, 3-0.

Mexico City manager Pete Clark called it "a darn good win."

The setback makes Indianapolis 73-44.
