Trash Pandas Come Up Short at Syracuse, 4-3
The Syracuse Scorpions defeated the Toronto Trash Pandas, 4-3, in American Conference action at Scorpion Stadium. Syracuse pitcher Ritsuo Matsuoka had a standout performance. The win gives Syracuse a season record of 63-53.

Guillermo Ramos dealt the Trash Pandas a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Syracuse leading 1-0, Ramos hit a 1-0 slider for a run-scoring single.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Matsuoka. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
