Brawlers Lose, 6-2, to San Francisco
|
San Francisco Fire starter Tom Tchida kept the Cleveland Brawlers hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. Mike Deadrick, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. San Francisco is last in the National Conference West Division with a record of 16-24.
In the top of the fifth, San Francisco second baseman Mark LeFevre had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and one out, LeFevre stroked a run-scoring single to left-center. It made the score 2-1, San Francisco. For the game, he was 1 for 5.
San Francisco manager Jim Clarke was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
