Trash Pandas Fall to Stars, 6-4
|
Soggy conditions did not keep Hollywood and Toronto from playing their scheduled game.
The Hollywood Stars beat the Toronto Trash Pandas, 6-4, at Trash Panda Field. Hollywood second baseman Brian Byrd led the way. He went 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The 'W' lifts Hollywood's record to 52-64.
In the top of the fourth, Gus Duran delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Hollywood catcher hit a 2-run single, putting the Stars in front, 6-4.
Duran attributed the win to his team's "grittiness."
