Whistlers Pick Up 7-3 Win Against Vancouver
The Boston Whistlers stopped the Vancouver Caribou, 7-3, at Mounties Field. The Whistlers got a big game from Jeff Beeson, who was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Blake Bryant was called on to finish, recording his 31st save. Boston, at 69-46, is 9 games up in the American Conference Central Division.

Boston used a clutch at-bat from Matt Schmid to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Whistlers ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Beeson.
