The Syracuse Scorpions outlasted Tom Klenke and the Hollywood Stars, 9-8. Klenke was impressive in the loss. The Hollywood right fielder went 4 for 6 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win went to Ken Allbaugh in relief. His record improves to 6-5. Chong-hyeon Hyong took the loss. The Scorpions are now 47-68, while the Stars fall to 45-70.

Ryan Mallory was the walk-off hero for Syracuse. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Scorpions catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We came out aggressive," said Scorpions manager Ricardo Lopez. "We came out swinging the bats."
