Phoenix used a well-timed hit by Nate Bacle to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Gladiators ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We came out aggressive," said Gladiators manager Matt Tamayo. "We came out swinging the bats."
