The Dallas Dragons beat the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles, 6-4, at Leatherback Park. Dallas first baseman Jason Coppa had an outstanding performance. He went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Dallas reliever Dave Combs picked up the win to move to 6-1. John Wicken suffered the loss. Mike Braasch sewed up the save, his 26th.

Joe Robinson, who leads the AC in doubles with 42, helped out the Dallas cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the pinch hitter went 2 for 2 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Coppa.

The second-place Dragons have won 4 in a row.
