The Syracuse Scorpions withstood an impressive performance by Hollywood catcher Mike Pierskalla to defeat the Stars, 5-4, at Scorpion Stadium. Pierskalla was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Scorpions have now won 4 straight.

Syracuse got a game-changing hit from Guillermo Ramos. The pinch hitter blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a winner.
