The Toronto Trash Pandas defeated the Detroit Giants, 6-2, at Trash Panda Field. Toronto first baseman Jaylen Taylor had a superb performance. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Toronto is now 51-61, Detroit 54-58.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Gus Marquez had a game-changing hit. The Trash Pandas left fielder slammed a 2-run single off Bobby Corbo, making the score 5-2, Toronto.

Said losing manager Sean O'Leary: "Give the Trash Pandas credit. They played a better game than we did."
