Maine Pines starter Justin Jemison turned in a top-notch performance against the New York Nightmare at Oakhurst Field. The result was a win for the Pines, 5-2. Maine reliever Nick Slover, who is tied for 7th in the NC in saves with 16, was credited with the win. His record goes to 7-5. Dustin Lewis took the loss for New York. Maine has won 5 straight games.

Decatur, Alabama-born Brian Myers came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded and the Pines trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single to right to put Maine on top.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Maine manager David Whigham.
