Hollywood turned a fine outing from starter Adrian Huffine into a victory over the Tampa Bay Captains at Ahoy Park. The final score was 3-2. Chris Dries came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 3-2. The Stars now have a mark of 51-61.
Hollywood used the timely hitting of Adam Cooper to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stars on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Hollywood skipper Alex Aguilera.
