The Dallas Dragons topped the Charleston Sea Dogs, 8-3, at Ballpark of Charleston. Dallas center fielder Mike Monia was a spark plug for the offense. He was 1-2 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Dragons, at 57-54, sit in second place in the American Conference South Division.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Monia hit a grand slam home run off Andy Weatherholt. It propelled the Dragons into the lead, 6-2.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Monia. "You've got to get results."
