A 4-RBI performance from Brian Shultz, who led the NC in home runs with 46 last year, helped the Vancouver Mounties beat the New York Nightmare, 9-3. Jesus Fernandez picked up the win with 9 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 2-4. The Mounties now have a record of 47-63.

In the bottom of the second, Shultz had one of his most important at-bats: a 2-run single off Billy Merner that staked the Mounties to a 4-2 lead.
