Mendez Clouts 2 Homers in 9-5 Indianapolis Win
The Indianapolis Eagles beat the New York Nightmare, 9-5, at Eagles Stadium. Victor Mendez, who is on pace for 108 RBI this season, starred for Indianapolis. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Indianapolis's record now stands at 62-48, placing them third in the National Conference North East Division.

With Indianapolis leading 5-0 in the bottom of the second, Mendez batted against New York pitcher John Way. Mendez hit a curveball to right-center for a 3-run home run. His 14th home run of the season put the Eagles on top, 8-0.

"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Mendez.
