Rangel Goes Deep Twice, Helps Marauders Top Pines, 7-3
|
Pedro Rangel powered the Philadelphia Marauders to a win over the Maine Pines. The final score was 7-3. The Philadelphia first baseman was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 4 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 2 doubles. The winning pitcher was Josh Canas. He's now 5-2. He went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits for the Marauders. The first-place Pines dropped to 72-38.
Rangel had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Jeff Weingart, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Marauders a 6-3 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Rangel.
"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Rangel said in postgame remarks.
