Lutz Helps Giants Beat Trash Pandas, 7-4
The Detroit Giants defeated the Toronto Trash Pandas, 7-4. Right Fielder Chris Lutz deserved a large share of the credit. Lutz went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Giants. After today's action, Detroit sits at 54-56, while Toronto falls to 49-61.

Detroit used the timely hitting of Andy Sklar to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Giants on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Lutz told the Detroit Herald.
